Can ireplace 24 pin connector on power supply

Hello I have a Corsair CS850M 850W and im wondering if i can replace the cable to a braided cable like this one

That is an extension cable. You plug the stock cable from your PSU into that and then the other end of the sleeved cable into the Motherboard.
