Can logitech Mouse receiver be flashed and made to work with new Mouse

I have a Logitech mouse(Model M215) but i lost the receiver . I have an old receiver of the same brand ,whose mouse does not work any more.

Is there a way i can get my old receiver to work for my new mouse ?
Can it be flashed to a different mouse ?

I suppose that receiver isn't one of the Logitech Unifying receivers? I'm afraid you won't be able to use that receiver with your mouse then. Those receivers are paired with the mouse they came with.

any M215 can be re-sync'd with a different Mouse receiver type C-U0007
Old design M215 (no Orange Star) cannot be used with a Unifying reciever
New design M215 (Orange blob with black star in it) can be used with Unifying USB RX.
(same symbol)

Look for the Connection software as in the Logitech article
