Question Can M.2 SSD work in M.2 slot for Wifi card?

I have a Dell Inspiron 3650 with a weird proprietary motherboard and the only m.2 slot I see in the manual is for the wifi card would it be possible to add an SSD here instead of having the SATA SSD and to just use Ethernet or is this just a completely different slot than for SSDs can use? No, wireless network M.2 use A+E key or E key, while M.2 storage drives use key B, M, and B+M .

Different key types will prevent you from installing the wrong drive in the M.2 connector.

Get 2.5" SSD instead. Much less problems with it.

1. You may have trouble booting from M.2 in PCIE adapter;
2. Your board has only single x16 PCIE slot, to put PCIE M.2 adapter in. All remaining PCIE slots are x1. You won't have any space for discrete graphics card.
