can my AMD HD7850 support a 1440p monitor?

Hi,

I am thinking about getting a new monitor for my PC with Sapphire HD7850. My question is would i be able to support a 1440p display with this GPU for gaming? or should i be looking to get a 1080P monitor instead?

I will be gaming on this about 30% of the time and browsing/watching shows 70% of the time.

It would function however that CPU can't perform well at 1440p unless you turn the details on your games way down.

If you plan to upgrade your GPU eventually sure, otherwise I would get a 1080p display.
