Question can my core i5 8400 bottleneck my GPU

Hi guys i have a simple question i have core i5 8400 and a gtx 1660, i have ran the timespy 3dmark results and my gpu got 6246 graphics score after overclocking which is better than 50% benchmarks according to timespy. However my CPU got 3911 which is very low comparing to i7 8700k 7922 score. Do you have any advice through which i can improve my CPU score and reduce this bottleneck.

There will be no bottleneck regarding your build. Both will perform at there max. The i7 8700K is just way more powerful against the 8400. See stats below.

So regarding your build you wont be able to push it higher than that score regarding your CPU.

The 8700K has twice the thread count as it is hyperthreaded, and, at least a few hundred extra MHz across all cores...and 700 MHz on single core turbo boost... (4.0 GHz vs. 4.7 GHz)

Of course it will do better.

Yes, you will have to upgrade the CPU for getting a better score but for performance on games the CPU is fine. The 1660 will be your let down regarding FPS on high end games. So for games like ac odyssey keep graphic settings at a fair 60 fps.

Rather then upgrading your CPU, get an SSD

Hi guys thanks for your replies, i searched online about how i can improve my CPU performance and i saw that CPU power settings in control panel can be turned to maximum performance to improve CPU performance. After doing that i ran the benchmark again and my CPU amazingly gave a score of 5144 increasing from 3911 before.
