I have a sff pc from asus as a result I have to have my fans at 50 percent to contain a good temperature in vr. Every time I go to disconnect my headset the hdmi connector its always hot. I’m worried after months or years of use it’ll soon affect the hdmi connector and damage it.

No. It's meant to get hot. GPUs get hot, cords don't just melt. Most rubbers melt at like over 200 degrees.

One thing though: If it's a vive, replace the HDMI that goes from the linkbox to the graphics card, the original wears out fast.
