I have the asus H61M-E (LGA1155) and wanna know if my motherboard can support 4gb video memory, like gtx 1050ti because i wanna upgrade my graphics card cause i have gt 640 1gb ddr5 (sry for my English isnt my first language)
Thank you so much dude you saved my life ☺
10gb ram corsair 1333mhzYour motherboard and GPU (Vram) are not linked in the way you are thinking. You can put any PCIe GPU in that mobo. It doesn't matter if it has 4gb, 6gb or even 8gbs.
You just need to make sure your PSU is enough to power the card, and your CPU is capable of driving the card okay
What are the rest of your specs?
thanks for the replyVideo memory is not limited by the motherboard, so yes, you can use 4GB of it.
thanks for the quick reply dudeYou would be fine for an upgrade (though it also depends on your power supply). Motherboards don't have to support a particular amount of RAM on a GPU; they either support the GPU as a whole or they don't.

I wanna upgrade to 1030 Zotac 2gb 6000hz there is no problem right?Your CPU is on the weak side, so I would not put anything more than a GTX1050ti in there, or just as good, an RX560 4gb. Your PSU will be fine for either card.
