which revision is it? there is 3 versions, revision 1.0, 1.1 & 1.2. The difference is in range of drivers.

1.1 & 1.2 have a few win 8 drivers, it might be that Gigabyte only released new drivers where the old ones wouldn't work

1.2 has lan and sata drivers for win 8, the majority for it are win 7 drivers or earlier

as per link in other post, you will need to download the win 8.1 chipset drivers from amd for that board.

but if i'm going to use win 8.1 do i still need to use my CD to install the previous drivers or i just have to download the files there at the link>?

i would download the files as they likely newer than the ones on cd
