can my msi r9 270x survive until Q2 next year?

I have a msi r9 270x which i bought last year, i was planning to upgrade to a gtx 970 or r9 390, but then i read about all the great upcoming innovative architectures from both amd, nvidia, and wondering if I should wait til then and build a fresh new pc for 4k gaming or not.
So do you guys think my r9 270x can survive until then? I only play in 1080p at the moment, i dont really need to crank settings up to max. Medium graphic is fine.

You will be able to play most new games within the next year to medium - high, maybe low settings for some. Games are also limited in graphics because the consoles are not going to be upgraded for at least a couple years
