I'm thinking of upgrading my Graphics card from 1050 ti to a 2060 12GB. Is it compatible with my motherboard Msi X79A-GD65 (8D)?
My specs are:
i7 3930K
12gb ddr3 ram (1600 Mhz)
MSI X97A-GD65 (8D)
Gigabyte 1050ti OC Windforce 4GB
EVGA 570 HD
Corsair RM750

PCIe is backwards compatible, so even a PCIe 5.0 card, if there were any currently, would slot into your board and be usable; the 2060 shouldn't see any performance decrease, either, it's not overly powerful and iirc even a 3090Ti would see mi or performance loss at worst. The GDDR version is completely irrelevant for this, it's just the internal RAM of the GPU and not directly connected to the rest of your system.

So long story short, the answer is yes. It's compatible.
