I'm planning to dust off my old system and re-use it for my home gym setup (spotify, youtube, netflix and other web browsing, absolutely no gaming or other intensive tasks).

Specs
Q9550
To be purchased : HyperX 212 Evo for a slight overclock
ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo
OCZ 8gb DDR2
ATI Radeon HD4870 (1gb DDR5)
PSU : [strike]OCZ Stealthxstream 600w[/strike] to be changed for : Seasonic M12II-620W
LG CD/DVD drive
An old 2.5" laptop HDD (Hitachi, don't remember the details, 750gb)
To be purchased : Samsung 850 Evo 250gb SSD
Antec 900

Can I run Win10, and if I can, will I benefit from it on such an old system? I really dislike Win7 since I made the switch.

Thanks

Oh you're fine. I've got a spare old Lenovo laptop with a Core2Duo P8400, 4GB of DDR2 and a first gen ( ~2008 ) Samsung 128GB SSD that's so old it doesn't support TRIM. I've used it for Windows 10 as part of the Insider Program since the very first preview builds were released over a year before Windows 10 hit retail. It runs fine.

Thanks, that's good to hear.
Another question : Will I have trouble changing the licence for Win10? I used to run Win7 and didn't do the upgrade to Win10. So I'm gonna purchase a licence and clean-install.
