[SOLVED] Can my old VGA port dell monitor be used as a second screen?

I have a very old 1600x900 Dell LCD monitor. It doesn't have HDMI nor Displayport, it only has a VGA port. My main monitor is Asus VP249QGR, it has display port HDMI and VGA. Can I somehow use that monitor as a second monitor? My GPU is a GTX1060.

You can try an active HDMI to VGA adapter, but they're iffy at best.

What do you exactly mean by iffy? Flickering? Tearing? Lines accross the screen?
