Question Can my PC handle GTA 5 at 1080p 144Hz?

My specs are as follows:

Intel i7-6700 @3.4GHz
NVIDIA GTX 1080 8GB
16GB RAM

If so, can I play on ultra settings or should I stick to high/medium?
What FPS would I be getting at either one?

If by 144Hz you mean at 144 FPS, no. A 6700k @ 4.5 GHz, and a reference 1080, plus 16GB 3000 RAM, will run it at just a hair under 122 FPS. That's at Very High with MSAA Off.

Because today's society wants 4k everything... I wonder how many of these kids would react playing the original Army Men 3D back in the day for PS1.
