Hello I was wondering what I could do with this build in Witcher 3 at 1080p and get smooth close-to-60 performance? Also I am pretty sure my 770 has the same specs as a reference 970, so I am assuming they are the same in performance.

32 fps .... the 970 is quite a bit more powerful at 52 fps. This is at

"All games are set to their highest quality setting unless indicated otherwise."

Just run GeForce Experience, it will optimize the settings for the game for your card.

Why is it different? Also would it be a lot better for Shadow of Mordor?

Why is what different? The 770 will play SOM at high-ultra @ 60fps @1080p. There is a BIG difference between a 770 and a 970 though.

Sorry I mean what are the differences between my specific model of 770 and a reference 970?

Been answered. The assumption that a 770 is somehow close to being on par with a 970 is incorrect. The usually progression is that the next generation x70 card will be a little bit better in performance than the last generation x80 card.... So today's 970 is a bit better than last generation's 780

The 970 gets 52.8 fps in W3, the 770 gets 27.9
The 970 gets 89.5 fps in SoM, the 770 gets 57.1
