Can my pc part be re used in a new pc?

ok so i have this computer, http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0%2c2817%2c2388737%2c00.asp and 2 of the usb ports on the front broke. i want to build a new pc, is it possible to take out my processor/ motherboard, and put them in a new computer? someone told me it was not possible, but offered no reason why.

you can just buy those USB ports, or get a hub and connect it to a rear usb socket. But yes you can buy a new case and put the old bits into it. Can't see why you wouldn;t be able to.

Its possible to salvage the Motherboard/CPU/RAM/HDD and move it to a new case.

I'd recommend setting a 500W PSU or better and then buying a new video card. Should get a few extra years out of it.

Yes you can however i recommend you buy a new motherboard and only use the ram, hdd and cpu from your old system. Motherboards from OEM PCs (prebuilt) are of inferior quality and are setup according to that specific system. Adding a different graphics card or other devices might not work and certainly isn;t recommended even if it does. If you have someone knowledgeable who can verify that your old mobo is indeed a quality one (rare case) then you can use it.

There are no reasons I am aware of that would prevent moving your system into a new case. I've moved a few pre-builts into new cases, yours looks to be a rather straight forward switch.
