can my pc support this type of ram?

im wonderin if my pc could possibly support this kind of ram GSKILL RIPJAWS 8GB (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL) (1600mhz), and i know amd athlon x2 can only support 1066mhz and if so what will happen if i plugged both 2x4gb 1600mhz on my memory slot? will it work? maybe it will automaticall be reduced to 1066mhz due to my cpu?

it says that my mtherboard can support ddr3 for up to 2100mhz yet my cpu can only support 1066mhz 🙁

It will work dont worry, the motherboard will downscale your Ram to appropriate speeds.
Why do you actually want more expensive and faster ram?.

GSkill *XL* RAMs usually work great on AM3/+ chipsets ... you should have no issues at 1600MHz

Give them a try, will prob default to 1066 (depending on the mobo) then you can change the data rate, an OC of your CPU may be required
