My specs are;
CPU : AMD A10-7850K 3.7GHz Quad-Core
Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-HD3 Micro ATX FM2+
Memory : G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
Storage : Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB 3.5" 5400RPM
Case : Raidmax ATX-249B (Black) ATX Mid Tower
PSU : Corsair 430W ATX12V
Optical Drive : Asus DRW-24F1ST DVD/CD Writer
Case Fan : Cooler Master SickleFlow 69.7 CFM 120mm (2x)

So I am wanting to buy a gtx 750 ti, and on new egg the minimum psu required is 300watts so I feel like it should work but I'm not sure and I want to make sure before I purchase it (obviously :) )
Thanks!

Solution
that psu will run it fine as the card uses VERY low watts. you have enough power to run a better card if you wish. you would get a little better performance with a r9-270 for about the same money as a 750ti.

Thanks for the information!

Thank you! I was wondering about getting the r9 270, it says my PSU isn't quite powerful enough so i was hesitant. I don't really feel like investing in new PSU when my current one is only a month and a half old. :)

Be careful that your PSU meet the amperage requirements. That card needs 20amps on the 12volt rail. You are not just powering a GPU, there's a CPU, SSD, and case fans all drawing power. Your GPU has a 400W requirement to get the best out of it (should be printed on the box) so a safe bet would be 500W so long as the amperage req is met. I only use 650W PSU for all single GPU builds.

Good luck!

i'm running a 270 on an old 375 watt psu with 2 18 amp 12v rails. been running great now for a couple of months and the kids have been gaming the crap out of it. you got a little more power hungry cpu but it's still possible you can run one. what exact psu model do you have and i can check out the numbers. basically, the card is about 150w and the rest of the system is about 150w. 300w/12v is about 25 amps. if your psu has more than 30 amps on the 12v rail you are in the safe zone to run a 270. that would put your system's power draw in the 80-85% safe range of usage.

i'm seeing 28 or 32 12v amps for the cx 430 which is the only 430w one i see for corsair .seems to be 2 different versions. if you have the 32 amp version, then you should be in the safe zone for the 270. this assumes you have not overclocked the cpu. if you have, then these numbers are too low of an estimate and you should use a lower watt gpu to allow for the extra power needed for the oc.

thats my psu :)
im just skeptical because many people have said I can't use one with my build and the fact that new egg says the minimum is 500w and it says that it would conflict on PC Part Picker

believe me i understand. you have the 32 amp version and can run it but i would not oc anything in the system. i did the math on my system and took the chance (i also knew i could use the card elsewhere if it did not work). dell xps 420 with a q6600 cpu, 4gb ram and the 270 are running great on the stock 375 w psu. i am noting that your 430w has less 12v amps that i do but you are also using a 95w cpu vs my 105w one.

i do admit you are pushing the limits of the psu going with the 270 but 25 amps is only 78% of available and within the safe 80-85% accepted range. it is up to you and what you are comfortable with. a 750ti will leave no doubt and will work guaranteed. you can even get an oc'ed one that needs the 6 pin since you have it. this will get the performance closer to the 270 and you probably won't see much real world difference. the oc'ed 750ti would still use less than 80 watts vs the 150 for the 270.

i know what the manufacturer and such says but they do overstate the requirements by a large margin. they also say you need 650 w for a gtx 970 that only uses 10 more watts than the 270 which they say needs 500 w!! think about that for a moment. 10 more watts required equals 150 more watts needed on the psu?!?!?!

you'll be happy whichever way you go and will probably sleep better with the 750ti and KNOW you're good on the psu :)

Thanks for all of the information! I think I will just stick with the 750ti for now because a lot of people say it is great and I am not that tech savvy so i dont want to push the limits too much! :)
