Can my roommate access my computer if I give him my wifi password?

My roommate has asked me if I could share my internet connection with him. I connect to my modem through ethernet, and he would through wifi. Would he be able to access my computer this way?

He can see it on the network.
Whether he can access it depends on whether you have file sharing turned on, and with or without a password.
