You didn't mention what kind of gpu you had other than saying it was a core edition. That being said, yes, you can run it. I played it smoothly on a core 2 duo 2.6ghz cpu and a radeon 3870x2 1GB gpu when it came out.

I Did mention what kind of GPU I had, The XFX (AMD version) 2GB graphics card. But ok what was your FPS like?

Usually up around 80 - 90 fps. Generally no stutter.

Azreal there are MANY XFX graphic cards.
For example i've got a 7850 2GB From XFX but your could be different.
So no, you did not specifically say what GPU you own, tell us the model
