i downloaded latest version of bios for this board and successfully installed it but when my pc restarted the screen b4 starting the windows displayed this message:

" After setting up the intel (R) optane memory or the raid configuration was built, state mode selection must be changed to Raid Mode to avoid unknown issues"

i went to the bios again and foun sata settings, then i changed the achi value to raid, when i saved and restarted my system was not able to find the hard drive, there was no data, i had to restore my windows 10 to one day b4.
plz inform me that did i make follow the right path as instructed in the message above from bios or i made any mistake? and if i did well then y i got this error and how can i fix it. thx

Solution
That is a generic message you sometimes will see when you update your BIOS. When you update your settings are wiped clean and may need to be reconfigured. It's there to warn certain users that use those technologies. If you are not actually using RAID or Optane you can ignore it and you should be able to boot. If you set your drive mode from AHCI to RAID that may stop you from booting altogether. If you cannot boot into Windows after a BIOS update I would have tried to use upgrade-repair install Windows 10 or see if I could get it to boot in safe mode.
This type of specific error message is better directed to Asus support. It could be as simple as re-flashing the BIOS, or it may require a different version of the BIOS. It could also be a defective component (motherboard, drive or memory). It may just require a different configuration of the drives.

You may try flashing the BIOS with the drives disconnected (using a USB thumb drive).

Also you can search for the specific error code. You are probably not the only one who has had the particular error code.

Asus may have addressed the error in the motherboard manual or in the FAQ's on the website for that particular Asus motherboard.
You can also check if the drive configuration is supported by the motherboard on that site as well.

And lastly, you can go back to the original BIOS version.
