Recently when I tried to boot my computer normally on my SSD I got a message that said no operating system could be found and I had to reboot the computer. This problem persisted so I went into my BIOS settings to change the default boot to Windows boot manager.
This solved my problem, but now I cant update my Windows. When I try to update, it gives me the same error and I have to change the default boot to Windows boot manager again.
I tried cleaning my computer but that didnt help. Here are my specs:

  • OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134) (17134.rs4_release.180410-1804)
  • Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
I thought maybe theres something wrong with my SSD ports, but Im not that knowledgeable about that stuff.
Thanks in advance.

Will the system boot into Safe Mode?

If so, you can look in Reliability History and Event Viewer for error codes and warnings.

Windows troubleshooters may find and fix something.

As would running "sfc /scannow" via the Command Prompt.

Check the Windows Update History - there may also be some comments there.
