Hello all,
I built my computer about a year ago and used the ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe MoBo. For the first 9 months, there was no issue connecting to the WiFi. My MoBo came with two white antennas that connected (twisted in) to "ports" on the back of the MoBo; these antennas were used to increase the range of the WiFi signal.
While moving some furniture three months ago, my two antennas ripped. Ever since then, I have been having problems. I replaced only one of the antennas and get great signal but only from the room adjacent from where my computer is.
If I move my wireless router anywhere else in the house, my computer still sees my internet connection and shows it as having full bar strength yet refuses to connect to the network unless I move it back to the adjacent room.
Why do you think that is? Should I get another antennae? Also, please note that when I take the wireless router to any other room, all my other electronic devices can successfully connect to the internet so therefore it is not the router/jacks within my house.
Thanks in advance!
