Can only turn on computer by removing and reinstalling ram sticks

After accidentally cutting power to my hard drive, I got no signal to my monitor and no power to keyboard/mouse upon reboot. The only way to boot my computer normally would be to take out a ram stick while it was off and reboot, then it would boot/work fine. Everything was working fine before and BIOS is up to date.

*Problem Solved*

I used my motherboards software to re-flash my BIOS. In my case I have a Gigabyte motherboard and the software is "APP Center", found in the system tray or a start menu search. I already had the latest BIOS but an untainted one was downloaded through the APP Center and re-flashed onto my motherboard. I guess my BIOS was corrupt but semi functional.

Just wanted to say thanks so much Jack. This helped me solve my problem with my Gigabyte mobo as well.

There's not many people out there who would come back to a forum post they made and post their fix (especially since there weren't any other responses) so I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate it.
