hello ,
sorry for my too many questions today 😀
i have to questions
first im building pc for low-medium setting gaming , i have limited budget
so my questions is , can G3258 handle games like battlefield 3 and sleeping dogs and farcry4 ?
on medium setting 720p ?
2nd question is can this processor run smoothly with R7 250x or GT 750ti? without lag or bottleneck
with 4g ram 1600 Mhz and mobo H81-s2pt or P81-D3 and 350 watt PS
i will not do any overclocking
last thing which is better between this two mobo? or they are the same
thanks

Solution
bf3 yes, sleeping dogs yes, fc4 does not start at all;
GTX 750 Ti is better than R7 250X; and it's a 2gb ddr5 card.
pentium G3258 max supported ram is DDR3-1333, if you upgrade later to i3/i5/i7 you can go with 1600MHz ram but they will run at 1333 with pentium;
main purpose of pentium G3258 is overclocking, you said you'll not OC, I suggest bumping up to an i3;
MB are the same, choise is up to you, what connections do you prefer, what layout, etc.
I don't know if you have the 6-pin power connector for gpu on that 350W psu, but there are versions of gtx 750 ti that don't require it. usualy non overclocked models.

Solution
I'm sorry to inform you but Farcry 4 actually won't launch if you have a dual core processor. You'll need at least a quad core or at the very least an i3. However, you could play Battlefield 3 and Sleeping Dogs, especially if you plan on overclocking the processor.

It would really be better to go with the GTX 750ti which can easily play BF3 at 720p at med-high settings.

You should be able to play these games besides Farcry 4 but I'd recommend going with at least an i3 or an Athlon 760k. 4GB of RAM should be good for these games for now but you should really consider upgrading to 8GB of RAM in the future.

thanks for replying , whats the problem with farcry 4? is it need 4 cores? or what
anyway i can understand that i can run all games from 2013 or older right? but 2014 no
i dont have ram 1333 in my area , only 1600 , can i install it and cpu take what it need only? or will be a problem

Yeah I thought he said BF4 my mistake, I think it's only logical for a game such Far cry 4 with 2 cores is definitely not enough!!
even if the CPU manages to handle the game but like you said with stuttering and occasional FPS drop I'm not sure he will enjoy the gaming experience.

That PS is more than enough for the 750 ti, if you're in a tie budget just get the G3258 you still can upgrade latter it has a pretty good upgrade path though.

Most modern games do not use multiple cores effectively, so you won't gain much with the i3 but since the G3258 is unlocked so you can overclock it, if you're not planing to do so then go with the I3 and that GT 740 and yeah you can play games with GT 740 at that resolution pretty well.

You're welcome, if your problem is solved make sure you choose the best answer if not we're still here to help.
Good luck!

farcry 4 is running in my g3258 this is fuckin best solution ever
