Hi, my cpu i5-4670k, gpu - Asrock rx 7800xt challenger oc, mobo- gigabyte z87x-ud3h, bios version F10b,

I just found a used i7 4790k at just 40$ and its in good condition( within friend circle). Though i've not bought it yet. Do u guys think it's the cheapest best upgrade to my system mainly for gaining fps in games? Can plz anyone give me a very rough estimate how much % of more fps i would have with the new cou? Is it worth?

Your GPU is overkill for your system and to achieve any real performance gain, you will need to change out your CPU, Motherboard, RAM and probably PSU. Your current chipset is way too old for that GPU. Can you list all of your parts?

The reason you are currently not getting the performance you want is because your CPU is bottlenecking the graphics card and not letting it unleash its full potential.

This is spot on. Changing to a i7 4790k will improve your system imbalance and overall performance, marginally, but don't expect miracles. Maybe a few FPS.

This issue is old tech, combined with an overpowered GPU.

My backup system is the 4790k I built 9 years ago. My upgrade 7 years ago ago to a GTX1080ti was too much for that old CPU. Great CPU in its day. You need to upgrade.
