No. The 680 is more than capable of handling its own Physx processes on its own in comparison to the rate in which the 9800 could deliver them. I had a similar (albeit one generation lower) setup I tried. I have a 570 gtx with an old 8800 in the closet. I found that with the 8800 running as a dedicated physx card I saw a performance decrease. I would imagine you would only start seeing a benefit if you used a 280 (more likely a 460) to handle the physx
