Hi

Recently I have been getting frequent BSOD errors with the stop code: "MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION". This is only happening when I am downloading games on Steam to my HDD. I now have a minidump from one of these crashes and I was wondering if anyone could read it and let me know whats causing the problem.

The minidump can be downloaded here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EiUyNZ7b9Q0RxncRzlEIVNf9Vciz2PNk/view?usp=sharing

Any help would be appreciated.

A machine-check exception (MCE) is a type of computer hardware error that occurs when a computer's central processing unit detects an unrecoverable hardware error in the processor itself, the memory, the I/O devices, or on the system bus. It is not caused by software. The error usually occurs due to component failure or the overheating or overclocking of hardware components.
MOSTLY this happens due to faulty Hardrives....Most of the time its Secondary Hardrives(NOT THE OS DRIVE)So if you have other hardrives connected...Disconnect them and see if the error still appears.
This sounds more of an drive overwrite...Maybe usage a other install location path for the game ON A OTHER DRIVE.
Monitor your Disk drive VIA(Task manager).
Check if your Disk usage isn't High in Percentage.
If that's not the Case Try this Simple trick.
In Windows Search bar type (View Advance system settings)
Then under the performance Tab click settings.
Click the Adjust for Best performance Option then Okay then Restart your PC and see if it has been fixed.
Good Luck.

Thanks for your response, most of these methods I have already tried and been unsuccessful with. However, as I ordered this PC from PC Specialist I have arranged for a replacement to be built.

Thank you very much for the help though!
