Im researching a build and the card used in the build im looking at has this as the card "GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FOUNDERS EDITION GAMING, 11GB GDDR5X, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)
http://amzn.to/2oQ00WR"
in the video he mentions that the card is about 400 bucks and the vid is from April, I was shocked when I saw that a 6 month old piece of pc technology is over double the price it was in April here approaching Nov. Why is this the case? Is this limited edition, is there a readily available equivalent or upgrade? Thanks

Ok so is it the rarity of the "founder edition" that is making the card more than list price was 6 months ago, and really Im seeing mostly used and refurbs available, I cant recall even seeing one new in the few searches I did. Amazon didnt show any if I recall. From what I read the founders edition is some extra cooling capability, something involving vapor chamber whatever, did they only make a limited number of them or is the bitcoin really the only cause of this specific cards inflation. Also can you recommend an equivilent? Are any 1080 ti's going to be the same brand to brand?
