Some great people on Tom's Hardware helped me find parts for a gaming build, but it was a little over budget. Is there any suggestions on changing parts to make the build cheaper, without sacrificing performance? Thanks!

Unless you plan to do encoding and rendering,avoid AMD cpu for gaming.Get either i3 or i5 haswell.Rest as others have recommended.

IF YOU REALLY WANT TO SAVE MONEY BUY USED PARTS ON EBAY! I have been building computers for 20 years. I build computers for $60 to $150. Yes you read that right. I build computers for $60 to $150. Not the very fastest but like this 3Ghz Core 2 duo with 2 to 4GB ram 250 GB Hard drive. and a Radeon HD 5830 Graphics Card. Not a real gamer but PLENTY for just about anything else.

I am very confused...

It comes down to either quad core or dualcore,the rest of the last builds are about equal.For both is something to say.Which to choose has to do with what you want to spend,if as little as possible with good performance go for the dualcore.
Chargit already gave a review,in the next you'll see that at a res. of 180p (full-hd) there's not a lot of difference,in that case the gpu is the bottleneck,

but his choice is imo a quite expensive one seeing that the much cheaper i3 4130 is also doing very well.
