Good day, I installed AMD phenom ii x4 955(quad core @3.2ghz) yesterday. On start up, I noticed that my system is operating slower than my dual core, which was @2.2ghz. I went into CPU-z to find out that each core speed is 800mhz. The board multiplier is at x4 according to cpu-z. The recommended multiplier for the cpu i assume is x16 I assume, being a quad core @ 3.2ghz.
Specs
Board; MSI k9a2-cf
Memory; 2gb kingston i have only 1 card in trying to avoid complications
GPU; gtx 650 (1GB)
PSU; 600w
Troubleshooting;
Since I cannot boot from changing multiplier in BIOS, I tried changing it with AMD Overload, but its not changing the multiplier I believe. In CPU-z it shows "x4 (14-14)
Idk what to do now, my final resort that I am about to do is just put the FSB from 200 to like 400 or so, my previous cpu was running fine with 500fsb
