Hello huys! i have a problem here with my overclock.
I have a "Phenom II X4 945 3.0" and a "Asus m4n68t-m le v2". I am getting a little bottlenecked so i wanted to oc the cpu.
Here's what i did: Raised FSB to to 240 multiplier still was on 15, raised voltage to 1.45000 and lowered the memory clock from 800 to 667 (Kingston HyperX 1600)
Then i ran prime95 for 15 minutes i was rocking stable, but i don't really get any fps incrase, nothing, it even shows in some programs that it's not even oc-ed, CPU-z says that it's oc...
Ran FurMark for a test 1920x1080 AA-off 64fps Just as before... Core unlocker is still off since i don't think i need it.. Am i missing something? Any tips solutions? Please guys...

Thanks in advance.

yes you...
Phenom II? Marty, what year are we in?

Increasing CPU clock will not give you a huge FPS increase (unless it's a CPU heavy game). Not sure what these 'programs' are that don't show an overclock, even task manager should show the correct speed. It's possible that the CPU isn't fully utilized, so it's running at slightly lower speeds (power management).

Also 'bottleneck' is a vaguely used term, if you mean your system is slow or you get in-game stutter / frame lags, look at background processes first, and if possible wipe your drives (after a backup) and reinstall windows. If you're sure that it isn't your system having trouble then double check bios settings and enable / disable the most important settings.

And make sure to keep an eye on those temperatures!

How do i utilize it then? Since the settings listed above are not working for me... I clocked it to 3.2Ghz and i got a 5 fps boost in games and FurMark, so yes i am bottlenecked quite a bit, but i can't raise it to 3.6 as i want to, computer pro... And all the things u are talking about are already done, it's just the CPU that i want to clock...

yes you are missing :
1 .stock cooler sucks buy WATER cooling for more FPS and STABILITY
2. you wont notice a huge FPS change so i recommand you removing the oc SO your CPU'S LIFE will be more
3.OverClocking will remove the warrnity because it reduces the cpu life and it calcutes as user fault
4.i recommand INTEL G3265 for overclock OVER 1GHZ its CLOCK! like FPSKillerPc did
5.i hope i helped you
