Can someone help me with my tv and pc?

I got a gaming pc and i got a 19" flatscreen lcd tv but when i put the hdmi the image doesn't show up in the tv. This is the only tv that doesn't work with my pc. Maybe the pc graphics? How can i change it?

Is it HDMI to HDMI or VGA to HDMI? Which wont work

I also tried to put the vga and the hdmi and doesn't show the image. I just bought those cables

VGA to HDMI wont work you need an an active adapter to get a signal.

Take it back ask them if they sell active VGA to HDMI adapters
