my new GeForce Rtx 2080 strix is unplayable In 1440p I’m getting like 3 FPS in all games and they keep crashing I’m thinking about sending it back I’m not sure if there’s anything wrong with it or not my specs Are Intel i7 9700k 2080 rtx strix ddr4 G.skill rog strix z390 e gaming motherboard 850w power supply

Ripjaws ps850p and didn’t check the games are unplayable In 1440p I can play in 1080p but not 1440p I looked up this card and it’s say it works for 2 k gaming pretty good

A 2080 should run most games in 1440p very well.

Okay thank you and I’m looking at the temperatures in the bios cpu is +31c/+91f not good at reading this lol none are over 35

Yea those temps are very low.

I would try clearing cmos.

3 FPS sounds like the monitor is plugged into the motherboard and not the video card.

There’s only a HDMI on my graphics card The display port is on my motherboard

You have to in order to use the gpu.

Sorry I don’t no what cmos and now with sige runing in the back round I’m getting 29 FPS and the temperature Is going from 37 to 40 I’m not sure what one to look at

That sounds like you are indeed using igpu with monitor plugged into motherboard.

You need to use the dedicated cards outputs.

If so, it does have both dp and hdmi.

I found the other plug thanks a lot it had a plastic end on my case so I could not see it I’ll let you no if it make it better
