Question Can someone label this photo showing where all the components are ?

I own a ROG Zephyrus G16 (2023) Laptop.

I found an image online of the underside with the lid off. Can anyone mspaint some arrows on it showing where the CPU and GPU are located ?. I haven't found a single place online that actually explains what's going on under there? Thanks!

The CPU is under the smaller mounting bracket to the right. You can tell since it has a ram slot located very close to it for data and signaling reasons. In your instance the ram slot is located just underneath it. That leaves you with the one on the left, which is the GPU. You can tell since it has a larger contact patch for the cooling assembly, this is to cool not just the GPU chip but the VRAM IC's surrounding it.

In short, CPU = right, GPU = left.

Can anyone confirm the vapor cooling chambers just where the cpu die meets the liquid metal thermal paste? It's not liquid through the heat pipes right?

EDIT: wow I guess mine doesnt have it cuz its a 4060..

The G16 Zephyrus 2023 does have vapor chamber cooling in its high-end models, specifically those equipped with the RTX 4080 or 4090 graphics cards. However, lower-end models, such as those with the RTX 4060 or 4070, do not feature a vapor chamber and rely on a conventional cooling system with three fans and heat pipes.

EDIT: I guess if it was vapor chamber cooled it would replace the entire heat sink and look like this as a flat metal sheet instead of pipes.
