Can someone recommend a CD burner that has supports CD-Text

Hi all. I have a CD/DVD burner in my W7 Ult. desktop. When I burn CDs, the title of the track does not appear in the CD; all that appears is track1.cda, track2.cda etc. I have been told by two sw developers of trial versions I have, that this is because the burner does not support CD-Text. Assuming this is true, can someone recommend a burner that does?

I dont know - is it? I have been told that it's a burner issue... I don't know any better, so I am going off what I was told.

What software program are you using to burn and what is your burner model? OS and etc?

W7 Ult 64
TSST (Toshiba Samsung Storage Technology) CD/DVD RW w/Lightscribe

Maybe it is the burner? In the BurnAware specs it does say that it supports "CD-Text for track and disc."

And what are you using to read the cd? That would also need to be cd-text compatible. WMP doesnt natively but version 10 and higher can with the WMPCDText plug-in.

We would need the specific drives model # to find out if it supports cd-text or not but I suspect it does if you enabled it in your burning software and didnt get any errors.

My car stereo, and my CD/DVD drive from another computer - both of which will in fact display a CD's text.... I have seen this.

I have just emailed the manu (didn't think to do this initially). Let's see what they say.

ok, let us know what the model number of the drive that you have in this computer is. Maybe we will be quicker. LoL
