if you could then upgrade the video card for a r9 280x or GTX770 wich ever is lowest priced where you are it would be even better, but for gaming HD 1080p modern games that's all you need...you save a lot going with this motherboard but don'T worry it's very good quality and will sustain the craziest overclocks for prolonged period of time no problem...do you need the 990FX for SLI/Crossfire?
i leave the case, storage and operating system at your discretion. i recommand windows 8 of course..
