Can the i9-9900k CPUs be delidded?

i know intel is using a SolderTIM - i'm interested to know if the IHS can be separated from the die as the earlier CPUs using TIM without damaging either side (IHS or die).

You certainly can, but its more difficult than the 8th gen processors are.

thanks - that was what i was afraid of, that it was soldered to the IHS. I might still try the idea i have but for myself, not for commercial venture.
I had googled it but didn't come up with that one - and that he got slightly better results by simply sanding his IHS down to remove some of the thickness -
