Can the stand-offs short circuit a mobo if it isn't plugged in?

Basically I mis-judged where the stand-off should be and the traces ended up touching it for a couple of seconds. Is my mobo dead or can it still work?

Sorry if this question sounds dumb, I'm very new to PC building.

The only power would come from onboard CMOS battery, 3v and worst thing that could happen is that CMOS/BIOS is reset which you should do anyway before switching system on for first time.
