Hello... a headphone is passive device, If you have the Copper and the Power to drive the Audio signal to your headphones, you will not notice a difference.
Hello... The quality of a Long Audio Connection is dependent on the Quality and amount of Copper that is used. Just like if you were hooking up your Stereo Speakers... It is a trial and error type situation, ( Price vs performance ) but you can sucessfully Find/Use extensions with headphones.
 


So you're saying it won't ruin quality with headphones?

depending on the quality of the connectors and cables, there will be varying amounts of degradation. The shielding and connection will affect quality, the length and impedance will affect volume.
