So i've been thinking about upgrading my prebuilt PC.
I've got it like 1 year ago with these specs
And yes i know it's kinda bad PC bu
Pentium G2030 3.00Ghz
nVidia Geforce GT 630
6GB DRR3
Yeah, had no other choice, didn't know anything abt pc's those days.
I wanted to upgrade the GPU, to the GTX 1050 2GB Zotac Mini Edition, why? Because it doesn't need a external pin connector and it will fit in my case pretty well.
But will it be ok? I mean, I know I cannot play all the exclusives on 1080p and highest settings because of the cpu, but , can I play like Far Cry 4/Primal, GTA 5 ( i know the CPU... but atleast medium preset ) Rise of The Tomb Raider, Dying Light etc? Doesn't have to be the ultra settings tho???
Thanks in advance.

Solution

Yes, the GTX 1050 is a solid choice in your system. Note, the game requirements that maxalge pointed out. That is a separate issue from upgrading your GPU.

some of those games wont run on a dual core

Yep, i know that, that's why I don't kinda care abt the PSU tho. So , will it be ok according to the threads topic?
