Can this graphics card work in my system

Ok so i have been looking around to graphics cards Iv decided on this one AMD Radeon HD 6450 Graphics because its the best i can afford at this time. I'm not 100% postive my computer can take it. I have a Hp compaq dc5850 microtower. My specs are windows vista 32 Bit, ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics, AMD Phenom(tm) 9850B Quad-Core Processor 2.5 GHZ 4 GB memory and a 300 watt power supply. Im upgrading to windows 7 64 and and upgrading my power supply but i don,t know it the card will work in my system. If u need more info please ask.Also if you think i should do something to better my system please tell me but i am on a budget.

It "may" work on your system, and it may not because HD 6450 needs a PCI-EX 2.1 slot and some users had problems with 2.1 slot with 1.0 slot.

3.0 cards are compatible with 2.0 as well as 1.0, I, myself is an example, I got an HD7770 (PCI 3.0) in my Asus p5kplm which is PCI 1.0. But the PCI 2.1 has a compatibility issues with PCI 1.0.

would ATI Radeon™ HD 5450 Graphics be a good choice?

Based on your budget I can suggest you save up more for GT 730 at least. Or really, you can save up more for HD 7750, best entry level GPU for me.
