Can this MAX 1080p?

Solution

They don't have the same specs, just the same quantity of VRAM.
Check these comparisons:
http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-RX-470-vs-GeForce-GTX-1050-Ti
http://hwbench.com/vgas/geforce-gtx-1050-ti-vs-radeon-rx-470

For gaming purpose, this build below is better than your current one:
I swapped your old PSU, which was bad quality, added the RX 470 and more RAM.
Though i had to step down on CPU, which for gaming the 6600k extra power isn't that necessary. Maybe in BF1 but that's just poor CPU optimization IMO for that game.
It increased the price a little bit overall, but the performance on this rig will be better no doubt in any game.

CPU: Intel...
As far as maxing, I am not sure if the 1050 Ti is capable of maxing games out at 1080p. Even for 30 FPS, it may not work. Could be wrong though

Also, I hear the 450W are not always good, a 500 watt 80+ Bronze should suit your needs. Also

This is something I agree with. If you are attempting to use a low-budget GPU, minds as well bring down that CPU as well.

Sorry? Max 1080p but only 30FPS. Lost me there. The 1050 is a mid range card. It's not a high end card where the buyer can expect max settings as long as their CPU and other hardware is on par with it. I would stay with the 6600K and the 1050. You won't be dissatisfied, at all. 30FPS on a 1080p TV or monitor with this build is realistic at varying settings. BF1 vs ME1? Huge resource chasm between the two. BF1 is a resource hungry and way too new game. Still getting the bugs out.

I see this fairly often recently. IDK if it's an AMD vs Nvidia thing or what. On one side they are offering a card that is better than the 1050. We then google their suggestion and find it is $50 more. That is fairly obvious. You invest more and you get more. I'd keep the build exactly the way it is. In a year or 2 the 1070 will have came back down to Earth, price-wise. The 6600K with the 1070 is a beautiful marriage. Why compromise with the CPU? A build that is more expensive will normally perform better. You took power from the CPU, slid it over to the GPU and inflated the final price.

Apply the KISS principle.

HOLD THE PHONE!!! You need to buy 2 RAM modules. I missed that error. It will run so much better. I do recommend 16GB RAM. 8 x 2 2400MHz

This https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM9ANq49ZRU is but one recent video where the PC is using more than 8GB RAM.

The RX480 is a step up from those you questioned.
It will easily handle almost any game in 1080p with 60+ FPS.

If you can get a RX480 for about the same price than the 470, go with the 480, its better.

It all comes down to how much you are willing to spend on a Video Card, i can always suggest something better, but it will cost more, unfortunately.

Both support AMD Freesync, whilst the Lenovo is 71Hz and more suitable for Freesync.
