[SOLVED] Can this monitor (acer gn246hl) run at 144hz or atleast 120 hz with hdmi

I am using it on dvi and it works perfectly on 144hz but i discovered online that it depends on your monitor if it can run in 144hz or 120hz by using hdmi 1.4
How can I know if my monitor supports more than 60 hz with hdmi?

If you find out what HDMI revision your monitor and video card have then you will know. Or just connect it and see if that option is available in the system. If it's running fine now on DVI there is no need to change the connection.
