it is on the limit of be capable, i would go for a 1000watt psu here

That PSU has the power connectors and 1070's are NEVER going to draw 350 watts, or even 300 watts. Check any of the reviews of power consumption.

The RM850x is way more than enough 1000w is huge overkill.

I looked, doesnt it say 1*8 pin connecter. So i would need 2*8 pin connectors altogether wouldn't i?

you have to follow manuals mmost times, you can't be sure if you don't follow the guidance provided by the gpu manufacturer

the gpu hopefuly won't reach the 300 watts but once the user feels secue, overclock cpu and gpu will follow and the 850 watts will look alot like a glove or tighter

The PSU has the connectors, click on the "Tech Specs" and scroll down to PCIe connectors there are 6 6+2 connectors on there. You only need 4 (2 connectors for each GPU)

Again, there is not a chance in the world his whole setup will come close to needing 850 watts unless hes running an FX-9590.

We have MANY users with Intel i7 haswell Broadwell, and Skylake systems, running 980ti's 1070's and even 1080s on 850w PSUs in SLI.

Those cards will draw about 450-500w together tops. Even if we say 500 that still leaves 350w for a cpu that won't draw over 150 overclocked to the moon.

RealhardtechX overestimates by a good 50-100 watts to account for low quality power supplies. They recommend 700 watts for SLI 1070s.

I'd do it on my Seasonic Platinum 660w in a second and not think twice. The RMx he's considering is every bit as good and has 200 watts headroom to boot.

You are very much confusing the entire system power consumption with the power draw from the GPU. A system with a 1070 draws 300-350 watts at full load. And that's with an overclocked 1070.

The gtx1070 will need single 8-pin pcie power cable, please check the GPU specification.
