Hello guys,
I am really curious to know weather this rig can handle games like gta5 , bf4 , hitman absolution with medium settings on 2k and 4k resolution.

I've checked some YouTube videos telling that gtx 980 (non ti) can handle 2k @ 45fps and 4k @ 30fps.
So do you guys really think that this rig can handle 2k/4k gaming with decent or playable framerates?

Solution
Sli i s needed for stable 4k

now, extra note, for 2k gaming your parts are fine, just a tiny suggestion: Get a 980ti over a 980, the 980 is the biggest scam out there right now
also, your PSU wont be able to handle SLI, and its not a great PSU either, infact it often comes with some terrible user experiences, never ever skimp on your PSU, its like the critical system part
just a note..

(according to pcpp, you can get the TI for as little as 30-100$ more than the 980 you selected, which would be well worth it)
1440P would be fine with a build like that, 4K is still so demanding for hardware now that its really not the best choice until some more powerful hardware is introduced to manage that many pixels. The FPS you mentioned seems about right, theyre playable frames but 1440P would be much better getting 60+ FPS. Im not saying 4K isnt doable because it is, but youd have to go SLI to really make a playable experience.

I would recommend a different PSU though, something like an EVGA G2 PSU. Otherwise its a nice build and should handle gaming quite well!
