Do you think it's possible / will happen in the near future that routers will have USB C instead of Ethernet?

Another thing: Is there a USB C to Ethernet cable? I know that there are adapters, but I didn't find any cable.

Solution
Near future, no, there are way too many installations with Ethernet cable, no-one is going to pay money to re-wire even the end point connections as a new standard. Likely never with about a 99% certainty.

If you want USB C port to connect to Ethernet, you need an adapter, a cable just won't work.

Been searching for this too, seems there're no networking protocol such as peer to peer implied on TB, such a waste consider 10Gbit LAN is way too expensive. Imagine if you can do ray tracing with TB, it'll be cheaper solution comparing to WiGig or 10Gbit.
