Question can tightening a cpu cooler damage pins on motherboard??

i tried using the dark rock pro 4 on my am5 sock and to tighten the loose bracket and didn't have the right scews to make it firm could i have damaged my cpu pins underneath i forgot to check after removing it i am so nervous does pushing on a cpu cooler add pressure to the cpu socket and pins?

Yes it can but force would have to be very excessive. MB can also be damaged/bent. Insufficient pressure can only make cooling worse. Equal pressure on all screws is also important.

Gentle pressure never caused me an issue. I do like 2-3 turns then switch to other screw.

If the PC works you might/should be ok.

i hope so too man i had to take it somewhere to get another cooler but i pray they tell me the pins are ok 🙁
