Hello.
I have a question I have not be able to really find a through answear to online. I recently upgraded my laptops' ram from 4 gb (2x2) to 8gm (4X2). The pc works fine BUT I have noticed that sometimes as I'm using it there seems to a big of a delay or it takes just a bit longer to accomplish something. We are not talking about a big change...actually rather minute. I am trying to figure out if this is because of the new memory OR if maybe it is just my preception.
Is it possible to make a system slower/worse by upgrading the amount of ram? Also, does manfacturer really matter and how can I tell which ones are good?
Thank you in advance for your help!
My Laptop Specs:
HP Pavilion dv4t-1300
Windows 7 64 bit
Origional RAM- Samsung 2GB 2Rx8 PC2-6400s-666-12-E3 (http://bit.ly/xVNrKl)
Upgreaded to- Komputerbay 8 GB (2 x 4GB) PC2-6400 DDR2-800 SoDIMM Dual Channel Laptop Memory Kit (http://amzn.to/w84Foq)
I'm not sure if any other info is needed so if so please ask.
Hoping to get this figured out so I can return the new ram if needed and get something different.
I'm interested to learn about this.
Thanks!
