Hello,

so today I've been playing around with overclocking and I got stable 4.4ghz @1.28v. I would like to know if voltage can affect you performance? Let's say that the voltage is too low would i have worse performance like less FPS in games? Because most people have 1.30v @4.4ghz and I would like to know if there's any difference in performance with high voltage vs low voltage? I'm new to overclocking, never really OC'ed anything except my old PC. And also if the CPU speed is too high can it be worse performance than on lower speeds? Thanks 😀

Solution
The voltage and speed for one person will not work for another. The same goes for sweet spot. Different components, different requirements and there's always the cpu lottery. If voltage is too low, you'd be unstable. Too high is more heat and power usage. Performance would be the same as long as speed is the same. 4.4ghz is 4.4ghz. The higher the speed, the better performance. Push it as far as you can. Just keep is under safe voltage and safe temps.

No, the only reason you increase voltage is to make system stable. Increasing the voltage on a system that is already stable will not increase performance, and a higher clock speed is always faster.
