Hello everyone. So I needed some help here. I used to have a gaming PC with an intel core i5 processor, a Radeon 7850 1GB, and 8GB of ram, and I could hit about 60 FPS on medium-high settings playing Battlefield 4 at 1080p

Now I have this PC build:
AMD Athlon 760K
XFX R9270X 2GB
-Some Motherboard-
8GB DDR3 Ram
600W Corsair PSU
A Couple 1 TB HDDs
Windows 8.1 64-bit

So I think that with this build, I should at least be able to hit 60 FPS on medium settings right? Well I'm not even getting that. I vary between 30-40 fps, and I only hit 40+ fps on medium whenever I turn down the scaling. I don't feel like this is right... Can someone tell me if my system should be able to handle this game? Thanks you!

No bro, you don't really need to upgrade to an Intel Core i7, an Intel Core i5 3570k is more than enough for a AMD/ATI Radeon R9270x. You need to upgrade to an Intel Core i7 only if you have an AMD/ATI Radeon R9290x or a Nvidia GeForce GTX 780/ 780 Ti GPU. And if you're planning to Crossfire your GPU in future then only I recommend you to spend money on an Intel Core i7. Otherwise no need of it. An Intel Core i5 3570k will work. You have the weapon, now get the game. 😉 If you liked my answers then you can add me on facebook and keep in a touch with me. Just message me once on Facebook. Yes bro, you can run Battlefield 4 above 95 FPS if you upgrade your processor. Its your processor holding back. Don't underestimate your GPU, It's not a normal card, ultimately its an R9270X 😉 Your others specs also match with your graphics card and your rig is awesome.

There is really no need for an i7 regardless of the GPU unless you want to do editing/rendering work. The advantage the i7 has over the i5 is hyper threading which can increase performance by up to 30% but is used by very few games so really there is little to no reason to buy an i7 for gaming.

BF4 at 95 FPS with R9 270X all set in ULTRA is a big lie.
The fluctuation of FPS if you will not turn your V-Sync on is massive.
You will have 40~120FPS in some terrains which includes intense graphics rendering but the overall gameplay will be garbage.

If you will settle from Mid-High setting maybe you can get a more stable gameplay rather than getting higher FPS but bad gameplay.

Ok so only having to get an i5 is a big relief, but between the i5 3570K and the i5 4690K, which should I go with? They're the exact same price on amazon, I just don't know which one is better. Anyone?

Oops, I forgot about the Intel Core i5 4690k! Yeah its a dead giveaway! ship it for Amazon right now! I am not lying about getting 95 FPS, some people are saying that its a lie. -_- Its 100% true. I didn't say that you can get 95 FPS at everying maxed out at ultra settings. I just said that you can get 95 FPS on High settings on 1920x1080 (Full HD) Resolution. Guys here don't have eyes, they are blaming me that I am just lying about getting 95 FPS. Don't worry bro, you can message me anytime and seek help. I already gave my Facebook ID above ^^^ Get you Intel Core i5 4690k and don't forget to send me the frame rates. And I am just a 14 year old boy and I know much more than the professionals 😛 LOL >.< Good Luck and Happy Gaming my bro Aaron. You are the best user I have ever seen on this forum, as you're so specific with details and friendly with everyone. If you have a account on Facebook, please do send me a friend request. 😉

Sorry I don't have a facebook, but I'll definitely send you the FPS I get whenever I end up getting the processor through tomshardware

95 FPS can be obtain but bare in mind that you will be having framedrops and again, this extra FPS will be in no use if the framedrops are massive (40-95).

I would recommend that if you have a 60Hz monitor then you lock your FPS to maximum of 60 so that you will have a stable gameplay.
